Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Opening a page sends the usual request data to that host: IP address, date and time, the address of the page, the referring page, browser type, and the response status. Vercel uses this to deliver the page and to protect the service. Robodex does not keep a separate copy of those logs and does not use them to build a profile.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, a legitimate interest in publishing the comparison and keeping the host from being abused. Vercel can process this data in the United States. How long the host keeps a request log is set by Vercel, not by a store on this site.

Alert form

The form on the home page asks for an email address and whether you want stock notes, price notes, or both. Sending it transmits those two fields to the Robodex server so the address can be checked. Robodex does not add the address to a mailing list, does not send mail from the form, and does not write it into a database.

The request can still appear in the host’s server logs, together with the IP address of the request, for as long as Vercel keeps those logs. The legal basis for accepting the form is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, because you choose to send it. You can ask for the address to be disregarded by emailing the controller.

Affiliate links

Buy links go to the shop’s own product page. Robodex does not add tracking parameters. The shop can still set its own cookies after you arrive. Those cookies are not set by robodex.dev, and Robodex cannot read them. The shop’s privacy policy applies from the moment its page opens.

Cookies and analytics

No cookies, no tracking. Robodex does not set a cookie, does not load an analytics script, and does not use Vercel Analytics, advertising pixels, or a tag manager. There is no consent banner because the site itself sets nothing that would need one. If analytics are added later, they will be cookieless Vercel Analytics.

Appearance on this device

The light or dark theme is stored in this browser under the name robodex-theme. That value stays on the device. It is not a cookie, and it is not sent to Robodex when you change it.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, or a limit on processing of personal data the controller holds, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where the basis is consent, you can withdraw it. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
